The aim of the course is to provide personal with knowledge and skill necessary to safely launch, recover and operate the craft in any sea state. This will be achieved with a combination of theory and practical application developing various skills including launch and recovery, man – over – board, compass navigation and towing.
The aim of the course is to train platform personnel to safely launch, recover and operate a survival craft in drill and emergency situations.
At the end of this course participants with being able to:-
1. Demonstrate craft handling skills including :
∗ Man – over – board/casualty recovery procedures
∗ Compass use
∗ Confined space maneuvers
∗ Towing Procedures
2. Describe and operate all safety systems and equipment in the craft
3. Define crew responsibilities
4. Demonstrate the application of pre-launch and recovery procedures.
